AfriZone Green Energy (“AGE”) Story

AfriZone Green Energy is at the forefront of exploring renewable energy to solve some of humanity’s greatest challenges including air pollution, water pollution and environmental pollution, which accounts for the call for climatic adaptation.

Technology LeadersBackwward Integration Energy Inclusivity

AGE is at the forefront of the use of environmentally friendly renewable energy in order to reduce carbon dioxide gas emission (greenhouse gas emission) which affects global warming with the aim of achieving the Net Zero. The Nigerian government’s policy of reducing greenhouse gas emission to zero by the year 2060 as part of its energy transition plan is the core of AfriZone Green Energy Development Programme

AGE has an associated company within the AfriZone group that aspires to develop up to 1 million hectares of oil palm plantations as one of its principal businesses, which helps to increase its ability in securing palm bunches as raw materials used as fuel in electricity generation. This helps to significantly control the discharge and management of dangerous gases into the atmosphere through palm waste conversion process.

AGE’s ultimate goal is energy inclusivity as it aims to provide mini-grids across Nigeria and other parts of Sub-Saharan Africa to first-time users. This will positively impact productivity in those environments and help to accelerate the process of bringing those within the catchment area of the communities out of poverty, a goal to which the United Nations is committed and has set a target date of 2030 for poverty eradication across the globe.
